Occupational health services (Labour medicine)
According to the current Romanian legislation on employees’ health services and safety at work, each employer is obliged to conclude contracts with companies licensed for occupational medicine.
We are an authorized company with 20 years of experience that offers company medicine and occupational medicine services for companies and individuals.
We conclude cooperation contracts for occupational medicine services with all companies interested in receiving the best medical services for their employees, from a professional team. The occupational medicine file includes the general clinical examination at employment, periodic medical examination of the employees, employee health monitoring and consultancy for occupational disease prevention and reducing the risk of illness in the workplace. Depending on each type of job, we will carry out further investigations (audiogram, EKG, visual acuity, glucose test, urine test) and conduct psychological testing at the clinic, by appointment.

In case you intent to pay us a visit, the staff of the
Dr. Manuela Văetiși Medical center can be found in the
two locations the center functions at. One is placed on
the main Gheorghe Lazăr street at no. 17, in the northern area of the city, and the second is situated in the southern
part of the town, on the Victor Babes blvd., at no. 21.
Both locations are easy to be reached using either the local public transportation system, or simply by walking there, during a ~15 min. walking trip.

LABORATORY INVESTIGATIONS
Aside from the medical services described so far, the Dr. Vaetisi Medical Center offer patients the opportunity to make an extensive range of Laboratory Investigations in order to explore the state of normality of few of the vital organs of the body (heart, kidney, ear, liver, pancreas, gall, bladder etc.), as well as other important investigations requesting special equipments and apparatus. PHISIOTHERAPY
Physiotherapy is a branch of medicine that uses natural or artificial physical agents for therapy, as well as currents (diadynamic, TENS, Trabert, Galvanic, Interferential currents in 2 and 4 poles), ultrasounds and laser.
Physiotherapy can be used as treatment for:

PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical therapy (therapy through movement) - the science that studies the movement of living organisms and structures involved in these movements. Physical therapy is the newest component of physical medicine and is an active methodology for strengthening or restoring basic functions of body parts affected by diseases or trauma. Physical therapy is defined as therapy movement performed by medical rehabilitation programs that aim to restore some functions diminished or to increase the functional level in various illnesses.

LASER THERAPY
Dr. Văetişi Manuela Medical Center has an advanced state-of-the-art equipment successfully used in physiotherapy: electrotherapy, ultrasound and laser therapy. The type of treatment is recommended depending on the condition, on certain areas of action, and treatment duration may vary between 2 and 30 minutes. Laser effects are:
- Reduction of pain intensity,
- Improving local blood flow,
- Increasing cellular energy,

BIOPTRON® LIGHT THERAPY
In the early 1980’s, a team of researchers developed the idea of creating a light source which is based originally on laser technology, but uses almost the entire spectrum of visible light and a portion of infrared light.The BIOPTRON System is a medical device for light therapy with a specific optical unit emitting light similar to a part of the electromagnetic spectrum produced naturally
by the sun but with no UV
radiation.
The BIOPTRON Light Therapy acts in a natural way by supporting the regenerative capacity and balancing the body and therefore helps the body to activate its own healing potential. ELECTROTHERAPY
Electrotherapy is a complex of methods that are based on electricity for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes.
It can be used for treating: locomotor diseases, arthritis, arthrosis, spondylosis, post trauma, bruises and sprains.
ULTRASOUND THERAPY
Ultrasound therapy is considered an effective method to treat neuromuscular system disorders. Ultrasound energy is producing heat and mechanical energy. In the treated area the tissue temperature increases, improving blood circulation and thereby promoting healing.
The effects of ultrasound are: analgesics, vasodilators, muscle relaxants.
Ultrasound also can be used for: arthritis, lumbago, neuralgia, myalgia, bruises, sprains, fractures.

FAMILY MEDICINE
Primary healthcare is provided only by family physicians, through medical practices organized under the Government Ordinance no. 124/1998 on the organization and operation of medical practices.
For registering on the list of a family physician you need:
- a copy of the ID card for adults/birth certificate for children;
- a certificate issued by your employer for certifying that you are an insured person (or your pension slip);
- the unemployment certificate, for individuals registered as unemployed;
- student card or certificate, for students under 26;
- evidence for the payment of the health insurance contribution for individuals with no income.
In order to be transferred on the list of a new family physician from your current family physician, you must submit a request addressed to the physician where you want to be registered stating the name of your former physician.
The physician on whose list you are to be transferred will send a written notice to the Health Insurance Fund and to your former family physician so that this latter may mail your medical record to the new physician.
You may change your family physician only if at least 6 months have passed since your last registration.
